NEW Nutrition Facts Label
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.
Label changes have been mandated by the US FDA and were published in the Federal Register on May 27. 2016. Why? To make sure consumers have the most recent and up-to-date nutrition information about the foods they love to eat. These changes include: updated serving sizes, updated daily values, larger font size for servings and calories, mandatory reporting of Vitamin D and Potassium, plus identification of added sugars, and other important changes. WHEN YOU NEED TO COMPLY.
July 26, 2018 is the date that Food Manufacturers will need to use the new label, if you have $10 million in annual food sales, or more.
July 26, 2019 is the date that Food Manufacturers with less than $10 million in annual food sales will need to use the new label.
